Amateur Camera or Pro-sumer level cameras really mean that they only last 10,000shots or 3years
which ever comes first..for me i made it to 9,000 shots on my first digital , the Sony P50 2.0mp.
I got the Sony oct 2001 it started to color shift in april of 2003.
The Aiptek PenCam a 1.5mp spycam, lasted 3 months, it just never turned on after it got colder. i got
it for christmas...never made it to spring. back then (2000) it sold for $99. now its $28 at Walgreens.
Then i shot mostly on a Olympus Half-frame 35mm camera, while i was digital-less.
I got my latest digicam in Sept 2005, the Minolta DiMage 6.0mp, it takes a SD, Memory Stick,and MultiMediaCard,
and its fully manual with a glass lens. its heavier than most, with a lithium battery, but worth it.
